Blog posts have been swirling in my head, but we've been busy, busy, busy! I've had five minutes here and there to read others' blogs and check Facebook status updates, but no time to write.
Our days have been full. In addition to the usual stuff, we celebrated Passover with grandparents and cousins. We toured a local television station with Jack's Cub Scout den. We enjoyed a fun-filled day at a park with some dear D friends. We spent another day at the zoo. We saw a couple of movies. We watched the kids play in baseball, softball and tee ball games. We've enjoyed gorgeous spring weather with bike rides, tennis lessons and trips to the park.
All the while, diabetes has been rather cooperative. We had one ugly low at a tennis lesson, but Jack recovered quickly and continued with his lesson, as if the low never happened. A little Easter candy and cake caused a stubborn high, but we worked our way past that, too. For the most part, Jack's numbers have been in range, thank goodness.
I have no big news to report, but no news is good news. What more can I say? Life is good!

YAY! I have been wondering about you friend. Glad all is going well and sounds like you guys have been having a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteAll is pretty good here...house is under contract, inspection done Monday...now to "fix" what the buyers want fixed and we have found a new house and that is under contract. We are going to Disney next week..the kids don't know...hehe.
Joe starts the Dexcom CGM trial tomorrow. Wish me luck! I had to promise to buy him some Bakugon if he would let the site for the CGM be placed in his arm.
Love to you and the family.
Hooray! Revel in it and enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteSounds like life is VERY good!! So happy to hear you and your sweet family are doing well! =)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to meet you guys on the next D-outing!!!!
Thank you all! :)
ReplyDeleteDonna, I'm looking forward to meeting you, too!
Reyna, congrats on the two contracts!!! That's fantastic! I know it's ton of work, prepping to move and complete the sale, but it will be worth it in the end. And surprising the kids with a trip to Disney--OMG--what fun!!!! I truly believe Disney IS the happiest place on Earth. Have a wonderful time! Can't wait to hear about your experiences with the CGM. Good luck!!! I had to laugh when I read that you used Bakugon as your bargaining chip. That would have worked with Jack, too! :) Besides Bakugon, he's also really into Magic Beans these days. :)
Magic Beans? I haven't heard of those...send me a message on FB about them. I bet Joe would like them too.
ReplyDeleteDisney is the happiest place on earth and I am so psyched to get away from the "madness" of the house stuff for a week.
I am so jealous that you and Donna get to meet!!! It seems there are a lot of D-mom bloggers down south...and the pacific NW. I still haven't ran into anyone up my way.
Love to you Heidi. Have a great day.
